ACUPRESSURE
Balancing Bodywork
Five Elements Acupressure is an ancient form of holistic healing that connects how the body reacts to the environment based on each individual’s Causative Factor. It consists of classical Chinese acu-theory, Five Elements theory and is non-invasive. Acu-points are held in different locations on the body at the same time to relieve tension not only at the site of the point, but throughout the entire body. This method of healing is about bringing balance back into your body and your life. The CHI or life energy can become imbalanced along the meridians as a result of trauma. Meridians are the energy pathways through the body and have been mapped out by western scientists by using sensitive electrical devices. Imbalances can be found in the body, mind or spirit. By holding the acu-points, signals are sent to the brain that influence the flow of energy and helps to correct imbalance which releases tension, pain, and stuck emotions. In acupressure local symptoms are considered an expression of the condition of the body as a whole. Besides reducing pain, acupressure can help rebalance the body by dissolving tensions and stresses that keep it from functioning smoothly and that inhibits the immune system. Acupressure enables the body to adapt to environmental changes and resist illness.
