WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN A MASSAGE TREATMENT?

A typical appointment will include an intake form for you to fill out before coming into the clinic that helps the therapist prepare for and customize your treatment. This helps to provide you with a more effective massage as well as specific home-care suggestions tailored to your needs. Treatment may be done directly on the skin or through clothes based on client comfort, loose comfortable clothing is recommended. If it is required that you remove clothing, you will be modestly draped the entire time.

Each acupressure session begins with an interview to asses your needs each time you visit The POINT. Once the session plan is made you will lie on a massage table, remaining fully clothed, removing only your shoes. A fresh pair of socks will be provided to you in the beginning of each session. It is important to wear light clothing and no denim so that the practitioner can properly feel each acu-point. The best clothing to wear is athletic pants and a thin long sleeve shirt. There will be gentle but firm finger pressure along the acu-points during the session. Once the acu-points have been activated you will have time for yourself to relax and recharge before leaving the session.
